BBJ Imports Ltd. was established in 2005 under the guidance and encouragement of Gary Fong. As the owner and main driving force behind BBJ, Jennifer Lister had previously been responsible for launching the Fujifilm Pro Digital cameras, S1, S2 and S3 into the US market place. Jennifer had worked closely with Gary to build the market profile of these products and turn them into market leaders.

In the summer of 2005, Jennifer moved to England to start a new adventure. By this time Gary's Lightsphere® product range was gaining momentum in the US and in Europe and he needed help to market and supply them in the UK. He knew what Jennifer was capable of and encouraged her to set up a business to help get his products into the hands of the UK photographic community.

As a family run business, BBJ Imports has been taking care of the shipping and importation issues so that UK customers don’t have to. Combined with this is a great personal service to ensure our customers order what they need, receive it quickly – usually the next day and see that any issues are dealt with quickly and professionally.

Through consistent advertising strategies, participation at key trade events (SWPP, Canon Pro Photo Solutions, Focus etc) and excellent customer service, the Gary Fong brand has become well established in the UK and has enjoyed greater awareness throughout the EU. Demand for these products continues to grow as does Gary’s innovative output. New products continue to be added to the range to ensure a flow of unique and value added photographic products.

Gary Fong, Inc. is a multi-million dollar business incorporated in Washington (USA). The CEO, Gary Fong, is a world-famous photographer who ended his 20 year long career in 2002 to pursue other interests.

Those interests included finding a solution to unflattering digital images with direct, harsh camera flash lighting. He invented the "Lightsphere", basically a specially colored "dome" that is held in place over the flash unit. Before long, over 500,000 units were sold worldwide, thus creating a multi-million dollar plastics business.

Since inventing the "Lightsphere", Fong has built a veritable cottage industry around variations on his popular dome-shaped Lightsphere light diffuser including variations called, "The Collapsible", the PowerSnoot", "The Origami" and "The Puffer" as well as other photographer freindly gadgets and devices.
