Are You Decorating Your Young Daughter's Room?

Has your daughter gone from being a toddler to a little girl? If so, you are probably experiencing some very mixed feelings. On one hand, you might be saddened by the realization that time is going by too quickly. On the other hand, you are more than likely excited to watch your little girl develop her own personality. Part of the fun for you might be in decorating her bedroom, changing it from the way it looked when she was a baby and a toddler to decorating it in a "big girl" way. From selecting the wall treatment to choosing her bedroom furniture, here are some ideas that might help you to design a beautiful room.

Residential Painting Contractors - If you or your spouse is great with a paintbrush, you've got the wall painting covered. However, if you are not do-it-yourself kind of people, you'll probably want to contact residential painting contractors, such as Braendel Painting, to do the job for you. Besides the fact that they will have the experience to do a professional job on the wall treatment, they'll be happy to recommend the best type of paint, such as paint that will be easy to wipe off when your little girl and her friends do something like getting sticky hands on the walls. Professionals will even have the experience to suggest a color for you. For example, if you know that you want the color of a summer sunset in your little girl's room, the painting contractor will probably help you decide from different hues of peach. If you want a very girly color, you might be shown several different shades of pink or lavender. On the other hand, if you know exactly what color you want for your little girl's bedroom walls, they can provide that, too.

The Bedroom Furniture - Are you wanting something truly different, something that is one-of-a-kind for your little girl's bedroom furniture? If so, consider buying unfinished wood furniture and have the same workers that painted your little girl's bedroom walls also paint the furniture. For example, if you selected a light peach for the wall paint color, perhaps the furniture could be painted a hue of yellow that isn't available in already painted furniture. If you selected lavender for the wall paint, maybe you'll want a stronger purple for the bedroom furniture, or vice versa. You get the picture, right? The painters can provide any look you want when it comes to painting.

About Me

A Rookie Mistake

A few years ago, my husband and I decided to repaint the inside of our home. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any experience painting the interior of a house at the time. Because I wanted to ensure I splashed enough paint on the walls, I ended up applying too thick of a coat of paint. To make matters worse, I didn’t properly allow the shelves in my master bedroom closet to dry before filling them with many of my prized handbags. As a result, some of these purses ended up getting stained with green paint. On this blog, I hope you will discover the benefits of hiring professional painters to paint the interior of your home. Enjoy!
